Feeding at Scale with Just Two Dosers? We’ve Got You Covered.

For growers who only have access to two dosers but still want to run clean, high-performing feeds with Drip Hydro POWDERS—this dual-barrel setup is built for you. It mirrors the EC and ppm targets from our Proper and Bulk charts while simplifying your mixing process.

Built for 2-Doser Systems

Not every facility is equipped with four injection points. This feeding schedule is designed for growers who want to maintain a full-spectrum nutrition program with fewer stock tanks. By combining Powder B + C + D into one tank and keeping Powder A in a separate tank, you can streamline your system without giving up precision.

This isn’t a replacement for our standard 4-part program (which we still recommend for full control and flexibility). It’s an optimized alternative for setups running only two dosers.

Dual-Barrel Overview

Each stock tank is mixed at approximately 2 lb/gal, using 50-gallon tanks:

BarrelContentsPurposeMixing Instructions
Base Barrel100 lb ASupplies calcium nitrate for structure and vegFill with 35 gal RO water → Add Powder A → Mix thoroughly → Top to 50 gal
Bloom Barrel67 lb B, 33 lb C, 3.3 lb DSupplies PK, magnesium, sulfur, and microsFill with 35 gal RO water → Add powders one at a time → Mix thoroughly → Top to 50 gal

Matching the Charts: Proper or Bulk

We’ve created two versions of this schedule to align with our original multi-tank programs:

  • Proper (Dual): ~2.34 EC, 1171 / 1640 ppm
  • Bulk (Dual): ~2.90–3.12 EC, 1452–2181 ppm

Each version includes:

  • Week-by-week dosing in mL/gal
  • Nitrogen adjustments already factored into the Base tank
  • pH targets for soil and soilless systems
  • A final-week flush and Powder A taper

Why Growers Use This Setup

  • Designed specifically for two-doser systems
  • No hand-mixing required; clean, stable stock tanks
  • Reduces setup complexity without sacrificing feed precision
  • Validated by outdoor, greenhouse, and light dep cultivators
  • Keeps nutrients fully soluble with long-term clarity

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who is this feeding schedule for?
Growers running only two dosers who want to stick with Drip Hydro POWDERS at full EC targets.

2. Can I use this instead of the standard 4-stock program?
Yes, if you’re limited to two dosers. The 4-stock setup is still our preferred option for full flexibility.

3. What goes in each tank?

  • Base Barrel: Powder A
  • Bloom Barrel: Powder B, Powder C, and Powder D

4. What size should my stock tanks be?
We recommend 50-gallon tanks for both barrels.

5. What is the mixing rate for each tank?
Both are mixed at ~2 lb/gal:

  • Base: 100 lb Powder A
  • Bloom: 67 lb B + 33 lb C + 3.3 lb D

6. Can I use this setup in coco, soil, or rockwool?
Yes. It works in all media types—just follow the correct pH targets.

7. What pH ranges should I aim for?

  • Coco & Rockwool: 5.5–5.8 (veg), 5.7–6.2 (bloom)
  • Soil: 5.9–6.2 (veg), 6.0–6.4 (bloom)

8. What EC should I expect?

  • Proper: ~2.34 EC
  • Bulk: ~2.90–3.12 EC

9. Are these numbers based on 500 or 700 scale?
Both ppm targets (500 and 700 scale) are included on the chart.

10. Can I run additional additives?
Yes—low-NPK inputs like silica, sugars, or biostimulants are compatible. Avoid high-NPK products unless tested.

11. Will this clog emitters?
No. The formulas are fully soluble and tested for clean flow at scale.

12. Can I scale this setup for larger systems?
Yes. The dual-barrel setup works in large-scale fertigation systems—just maintain proper mixing ratios and injection calibration when increasing stock tank volumes.

13. Can I remove Powder A in late flower?
Yes. Many growers remove the Base Barrel during the final 10–14 days to reduce nitrogen without dropping micros.

14. Do I need to flush?
Yes. Run RO water in the final week and eliminate Powder A at least 10 days before harvest.

15. Where can I get help dialing it in?
